British telecom in an interesting move has a great offer for its huge customer base. In a statement it announced that all the BT broadband customers will be freely allowed to upgrade to the next generation fibre broadband network. As of now the phone broadband bundles are charged at £17.99 monthly costs at BT.

While the current offer made will not only apply to their existing customers but also new ones who sign up immediately to any one of the BT broadband bundles subscription. This revolutionary broadband service was first offered by BT to its customers across UK. As of now nearly 1.5 million people are already hooked to fibre broadband. This figure is bound to go up no ends as they expect to see up to 16 million and more base of customers in the next four years subscribing to BT.

This would in turn mean supplying with the services to most of the households in the entire of UK. Even as the current fibre broadband evolution continues to take place in major parts of Europe it is bound to change the way of working for many a things. As of now the broadband speed offered by BT is a super fast 20mb maximum. With the advent and up gradation to this new technology however things are going to take a great turn of events.

BT  offers Free Fibre Upgrade to existing Broadband customers. BT has announced that the existing BT Broadband customers will be able to upgrade to BT’s upcoming 40Mb/s fibre service when it arrives.

John Petter, managing director of BT’s Consumer division, said: “Fibre is the future of broadband and BT is raising the speed and standard for customers nationwide. BT Infinity is head and shoulders above other services when it comes to value.

This is definitely a good news for the BT Broadband customers. The offer promises DSL2+ now with a connection to the super fast BT Infinity fibre service. As of now those who are not yet customers of BT can check the Infinity plans at BT Site.
