The newly revamped mobile broadband packages from Orange are being promoted through various attractive offers.

Orange broadband or home phone subscribers can now get a £5 discount on an essentially ‘free one month contract’ which requires the user to only pay for the data usage.

This is offered on two of their plans; Racoon and Dolphin, which includes a maximum download allowance of 1GB a month plus 1GB ‘quiet time’ data that is used between midnight and 4pm.

“Rewarding users with best value, all Orange customers - whether on pay monthly, pay-as-you-go or on Orange home broadband - receive a £5 discount on mobile broadband plans, giving them the flexibility to surf, email and post updates wherever they are,” said Orange.

Racoon has two plans within it. The pay-as-you-go mobile broadband option charges 5p per MB with a limit of £40 or a 500MB allowance from £5. The latter plan comes with a free dongle for a 12 month contract or a one off-fee of £29.

Four mobile broadband packages constitute the Dolphin package. Each of the package includes a 1GB anytime data with optional wi-fi minutes or an extra 1GB of off-peak data. This is subject to the contract signed and the monthly price of choice.

Orange has done away with its Panther package which offered data usage allowance of up to 20GB.
