Robot managers hologram meetings and furniture on demand office of the future revealed

Plusnet have teamed up with a group of leading futurists to get a look at how your typical office will look in the future, and the results are fascinating.

Experts predict that by 2030, the average gloomy office will be long gone and instead it will be replaced with technological, green hubs. Instead of office furniture, there will be “flexible nanotech that can be formed into whatever you need at the moment – something to sit on, a desk or a conference table”. It is also predicted that robots and artificial intelligence will be used heavily, which could see a boss be a machine that embodies decades of experience.

It is not just fast moving technology which will transform offices in the near future, as it is also predicted that they will be much greener. Offices will be filled with plant life and natural light, and there could even be doctors and psychologists on hand. Like some companies have already, it is also thought that companies will introduce hammocks, slides, chill out areas and more to make staff more comfortable and happy whilst at work.
