Ofcom is an independent telecommunications regulator in the UK. For the past three consecutive years they have conducted autonomous research that has revealed that Virgin Media Broadband is the fastest internet service available!
Most recently, Virgin Media performed a trial of their own in a busy London borough and were highly successful in delivering an average broadband speed of up to 100Mbps. This is an incredible number and one that cannot be met by other competitors in the industry.
Each Virgin Media Broadband package on offer was examined by Ofcom and they were found to perform exceedingly quicker than others throughout the UK.
The 10Mbps package was found to be faster than the entire UK average. The 30Mbps package was revealed to be four times faster than the UK average downloading speed. And the 50Mbps package was discovered to perform a massive seven times faster than all other competing supplied internet services! From this you can clearly foresee the huge difference in performance to those businesses that were involved within the trial of Virgin Media’s 100Mbps broadband service.
This service is being rolled out to as many areas across the UK and throughout the Virgin Media network as possible, although it will obviously take quite some time to deliver speeds of this nature to everyone, and of course as with any internet service the speed that you receive is directly determined by the area in which you are living as well as the distance of your home or business from the local telephone exchange service.
